So, this new series I picked up is just so nifty, I'm giddy with joy!  I recommend reading Darkest Fire by Gena Showalter before reading this book, Darkest Night, you'll thank me later, or now…just read it!  You'll be just as giddy as I am, plus, the end of the book gives the teaser for this book and pretty much setup for the entire series.

This series, The Lords of the Underworld is about the worlds worst Demons that have been bonded to immortal men who use to be Zeus' guardians.  The men because of jealousy/vanity killed the keeper of the box–which used to hold all these Demons –and yeah that would be Pandora's box.

The Darkest Night focuses on the Demon Violence but it also introduces Lucien, Paris, Reyes, Torin, and Aeron and a couple more but I'm not telling   Violence is joined with violet-eyed, abs-like-ropes, towering immortal man Maddox.  Maddox is the one who actually killed Pandora and is cursed to die every night at midnight the same way he killed Pandora, OUCH!

Ashlyn is on a recon mission in Budapest to find out "who are the angels at the top of the hill" and could they help her with her special talent; she can hear any previous conversation that has happened in any spot she stands in.

Darkest Night kept me in suspense the whole time and I dreaded putting it down.  My ebook reader even ran out of battery and I didn't notice when it was getting low!  I never get tired of the internal struggle these main characters face when they are attracted to each other and shouldn't be attracted to each other.  And of course the eventual surrender is sweet joy, that's when the good part begins!   I also loved the little snippets Ms. Showalter sprinkled throughout the book featuring the other Lords.  I can't wait for Lucien's story (which is the Darkest Kiss and next in the book series) and see how Death reacts to his woman.  Great book by Gena Showalter, yes, now I'm looking into her other series.  You can be just as addicted as I am,  here is Gena Showalters Offical Website and eBooks.com will sooth that need!
