Well, the next story of the Lords of the Underworld series is The Darkest Kiss, which focuses on Lucien and his Demon, Death.  If you haven't read Darkest Night or Darkest Fire, do so before going any further.  

Scarred heart and body immortal-man, Lucien, never loses control and never wants to love another.  He's been through all the pain and the result was his
specialty: Death.  Every time the not-so-minor goddess of Anarchy(Anya) is around him, however, his understanding of women is thrown for a loop; she can't possibly want him.

Anya chases Lucien, to the point of being stalkerish, usually it's the other way around right?  Boy sees girl, boy can't get girl out of his mind, and boy now can't get enough of girl…becoming a love crazed stalker.  Good thing Anya is the goddess of Anarchy and her best quality is she's persistent at causing…well, anarchy.  She's helped Maddox (the other cursed Lord with his true love ….) but Lucien can't imagine why she keeps hanging around him; he's jaded to the extreme.  Add a quest for mysterious artifacts, a couple of curses, and a big feud amongst the gods, and you've got The Darkest Kiss

I must say this book had some very vivid encounters (or as one of my good friends would call it installments) between Lucien and Anya.   The writing was superb, with plenty of getting-the-old-ticker-pumping action and tons of didn't-see-that-coming suspense.   Also, Anya's character is a hoot, sloshed with modern idioms and slang she is hilarious!  I can't wait for the next book, oh, wait, I don't have too, I bought the bundle pack…    Ms. Showalter surprise me again and I might just have to send you some DARK chocolate!  For her list of her work go to the Gena Showalter Official Website and get ebooks.com on your favorites bar!
